Spaces Ambience Lighting

Work from home with the best lighting!

Working from home is the new normal. This has led us to build and design a new space to work comfortably from our home.

Just as we care about decoration, furniture, and organization, lighting is key to our space. Having the correct lighting will improve your productivity and will put you in a better mood.

Regular home lighting usually will not be enough light to be able to work appropriately, therefore, we must add additional light sources to create functional lighting. Natural light can be used to benefit our space, though, if you don’t have it, you will have to make good use of architectural and task lights.

The best way to light a home workspace is to combine different types of lights that work together, here are a few tips that will help you:

Natural light

Sunlight can produce warm lighting that improves the work environment.

Natural light has many advantages; ideally, place the desk near a window, or as close as possible to an alternative source of natural light, such as under a skylight or next to a glass door.

Lighting for every task

Each task needs a different amount of light: computer work, paperwork or other tasks that require a lot of concentration…

Dimmers will allow you to adjust the light as you need. A dimmable desk lamp it’s perfect for focused task lighting, it also can put light exactly where you need it and support a variety of tasks.

You can also save space on your desk by using a floor lamp. A floor lamp will help diffuse light up and around to illuminate the space and will look fabulous suspended over your space. This is another great opportunity to put some personal style and personality into your workspace.

  • Decorative lighting
As we told you before, you may have ambient and functional lighting in your home. However, it is important to add decorative lighting to help give a more visual and creative touch to your space such as wall lights, they provide a direct visual appeal.
